My journey into philately began when my great-grandmother gave me a large bag of 1800s Turkish stamps when I was just seven years old. I began collecting world stamps in general, often buying packets from newsagents and W.H.Smith back in the days when they stocked them. Between 1979 and 1982, I helped my father with his new stamp business, which quickly grew into a successful mail-order operation and public auction enterprise. During that time, I also worked in London for one of the traditional auction houses, now sadly gone.

 

In 2004, I returned full-time to philately, offering consultancy services to several companies. I now exhibit twice yearly at the Stafford Stamp Show and at the Kempton Park event. I have been active on eBay since 2003, where I have over 10,485 positive feedback ratings and more than 20,000 sales - all with 100% satisfaction.
